(St. Johns) Tamara Reynish (pronounced RYE-nish) was born in Ontario and raised in Germany,and has lived in Ottawa, Fredericton, Quebec City, Kugluktuk (Nunavut), Holman (Northwest Territories) and London (England). Tamara loves words: She has been an editor in chief, a professor, a writer, an editor, a script editor, a book review editor and a translator. She speaks, reads and writes French, German and Russian and is studying Polish and Ukrainian. Her philanthropic endeavors include teaching English as a second language, serving on various boards of directors and extensive fundraising. She is a long-time friend and supporter of the arts: she has organized art auctions; hung shows at an artists' resource centre; edited award-winning novels; and she has even written rock lyrics. Academically, she holds a M.A. in Polish Intellectual History and a B.A. in Russian Studies and History. Tamara currently lives in St. John's, Newfoundland. She hopes to someday stop making lists.
